Community Hall
Saint John’s Hall offers a historic and picturesque setting for receptions, seminars, and special events.
Built in 1906, the Hall is surrounded by charming gardens and an elegant rotunda. Rich in style and atmosphere, its Queen Anne architecture, high vaulted ceiling, and wooden floors make it a stylish venue for a truly memorable occasion. Equipped with a professional kitchen and theatre stage, it is conveniently located for business, academic, and formal events.
Flexible and Enticing
Pre-event drinks or a buffet lunch can be hosted under the shade of the Rotunda, or the piano in the Hall can be used to create a warm ambience to impress your guests. For a truly unique experience, torch lights can illuminate the entrance path to your event or a marquee set up on the lawns.
Location
Saint John’s Hall is situated behind the historic Parish Church in charming Finch Street in East Malvern. Located only 150 metres from Monash Caulfield, it is easily accessible by train and tram.
Guest Numbers
The Hall can be configured for diverse requirements. The maximum number of guests will vary on the kind of event planned but suggested numbers are:
- Cocktail Party – 175
- Buffet – 150
- Fine Dining – 100 to 125
- Seminar or Conference – 125 to 150
